Bye Bye 3G, Hello 4G

The first generation of telecomunication, 1G uses analog signals (our normal house telephone), then 2G which is digital tranmission came along and changes the mobile industry by storm. After that the multimedia technology, 3G which transmit telecomunication signal at the speed of at least 200kbit/s gave uses a wide spectrum of multimedia services. Now 4G is making its' way to the telecomunication history through high broadband transmission in terms of Gigabit speed. There would be multicarrier signal transmission and high capacity IP packet switched network provided by 4G.
Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC), will be coming up with a spectrum plan and also block of bandwith to cater for 4G. It was reported in the local daily that the blocks of frequency should like in the 850 Mhz, 900 Mhz and 2.5 Ghz bands. Wimax (IEEE 802.16m) is making its' way into the market.
Everything should go at full steam once all the 4G infrastructure are up and running.
